Altrusa International of Palisade, Inc. will hold its annual Make a Difference Day Book Giveaway on October 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Town Plaza at Third and Main Streets. The Altrusa Club Book Giveaway is a part of the organization’s worldwide efforts to advance literacy.
Come browse and select from hundreds of books. You will find a wonderful selection of adult and children’s books, hardback and paperback to choose from. Take as many as you can carry away for the amazing price of FREE!
Also, check out the Alrusa’s exchange free book case at the Town Gazebo near the Family Food Town entrance. The books in the case are free to read anytime and you may add books to the case as well. It is thought if books are readily available people will read more. Reading more will build literacy.
