The monthly mixer of Palisade Chamber of Commerce members was held in Clifton last Wednesday, September 21, illustrating that Palisade’s Chamber also claims membership of a number of Clifton, Grand Junction and Fruita businesses.

Christian Baird (left) of the Veterans Art Center at 307 S. 12th St., Grand Junction, spoke for a few minutes on the mission of the Art Center, also describing the upcoming Art and Music Extravaganza on Veterans Day at the Avalon Theater. Requesting support from Chamber members, he was pleasantly surprised when, between all attendees, the entire needed amount was raised to finish promoting and actually staging the event.

Ginger Collard (right) was introduced, Palisade’s newest ‘Lavender Lady.’ Ginger purchased the Palisade store from Carol Mueller recently and has been busy putting her own touches on it. One of the changes she has made has been the addition of Colorado Creative Juices, owned by Leif and Jolene Langnes. They custom print all kinds of promotional items and tee-shirts with custom messages and logos, and were wearing a couple of their most popular designs.

The monthly mixers serve to acquaint members of the Chamber with other members that they might not otherwise come into regular contact with, providing valuable networking opportunities for all.
