It’s October, which means the 4th Annual Trick or Treat Street event is right around the corner.  This year the event will take place on Friday, October 24, with the Touch a Truck and Trick or Treat Street running from 4 – 6 p.m. in downtown Palisade. The very popular Pet Parade takes place at 5:30 p.m. in Town Plaza, and the Halloween Carnival gets under way at the ‘Old High School Gym’ on Seventh Street from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Palisade Recreation is seeking volunteers to help to run game booths at the Halloween Carnival from 6 – 9 p.m. and groups or businesses with utility vehicles that would like to participate in the Touch a Truck from 3:30 – 6 p.m. downtown.  Last year, close to 150 pounds of candy was passed out between the two portions of the event, so they are also seeking in-kind donations of candy for carnival games and trick or treating, as well as baked goods for our ever popular cake walk game at the carnival.

If your group or business have an interest in participating in our event or would like to volunteer to bring a utility vehicle to the event, please contact Sarah Brooks at 970-464-5602 by Oct 20.  Donations, candy, or baked goods may be dropped off at Palisade Town Hall at 175 E. Third Street, or Palisade Recreation can arrange to collect donations the week of the event.
