There is a new SAHM/WAHM (Stay-at-home-mom and Work-at-home-mom) group forming in Palisade, and the kickoff is a Buggy Walk scheduled for June 9th at 2pm. There is no fee and you don’t have to register, but those who do register will be automatically entered for a chance to win 2 free tickets to the Palisade Bluegrass Festival

Bring your favorite buggy or stroller and your little ones and walk for prizes, fun, and meeting other moms.

First stop is the Palisade Police Department, where Chief of Police Deb Funston will share how parents can reduce the risks for children on the internet and in public and will address questions and concerns. Information will be provided on where parents can get free Child ID kits.

From there, we will walk to Rapid Creek Cycles. Rondo will illustrate the child bike trailer and rear bike seat, discuss safety issues, and provide information on bike trails suitable for parents with little ones. He will have a drawing to win a free bike rental!

Then we proceed to Palisade Family Health and Chiropractic where Dr. Morrison will discuss baby wellness and massage. Bloomin’ Babies Birth Center will be on hand to discuss their facilities and services. Refreshments wili be served and there will be a drawing to win a free one„hour massaqe!

The Buggy Walk winds up at Memorial Park where Susan Rowland will give a demo on Kindermusikf which is high-energy music and movement for moms to do with littteones. You are welcome to participate in this fun activity, or watch only if you prefer.
