The U.S. Forest Service and Colorado Procurement Technical Center (PTAC) will be hosting two free workshops for businesses interested in seeking federal contracts. Both workshops will be held at the Business Incubator, 2591 Legacy Way, in Grand Junction, CO.
The first workshop is offered on Wednesday, March 11, from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. for small businesses seeking construction or forestry service work with the federal government. Representatives from the Colorado Department of Transportation will also be present to discuss opportunities for small businesses on state highway construction projects.
The second workshop is offered on Thursday, March 12, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. for businesses interested in supporting wildland firefighting services. The Forest Service is seeking businesses interested in providing services and supplies including: fire engines, water tenders, refrigerated trailers, school-type buses, computers and printers, weed washing units, heavy equipment (dozers and excavators), heavy equipment with water (skidgens, skidders, pumpercats) and mobile offices.
