The Blue Pig Gallery and PAV, Palisade Art Vision, would like to invite the public to join us in Palisade on the evening of September 8th at 5 p.m. This event combines the 2018 unveiling of this year’s seven new sculptures, which will be on display for the next year, and also celebrates the 11th birthday of the Blue Pig Gallery.
Volunteers from PAV and Town of Palisade staff will be busy early on Saturday morning removing the current pieces to the plaza for one last look and welding in the seven new pieces that will be a delight to residents and visitors alike for the coming year.
PAV was formed in 2015 by a group of local citizens and artists to promote and embrace “Art as a part of everyday life.” Palisade supports the PAV vision of an outdoor sculpture program to promote a visible aesthetic voice of the town, The Peach and Wine Capital of Colorado.
After the sculpture unveiling, everyone is invited to gather at the Blue Pig Gallery to celebrate its 11th birthday with peach cake from Slice o’ Life Bakery and ice cream from the soon to open Purple Cow, (which will be serving ice cream from Graff Dairy). Get a sneak peek at the much anticipated new coffee and ice cream shop, The Purple Cow.
Also happening that evening is the opening of the Black and White Show at Craig Gallery!
Grand River Vineyards will be pouring wine throughout the evening at the Blue Pig.
Everyone is invited to join us for the evening! For more nformation contact Kay Crane at the Blue Pig 970-464-4819. The Blue Pig Gallery is located at 102 West 3rd Street, Palisade.
