Mesa Fiber Art Studio and The Palisade Chamber of Commerce are pleased to present the 3rd Annual Palisade Quilt & Fiber Art Festival Saturday, October 8th in Palisade’s Veteran’s Memorial Park.  Juliann Adams, Palisade Chamber Executive Director, says “fall is the perfect time of year for a festival supporting and celebrating the area’s fiber art community.  The fiber industry is growing in our valley and having a fiber festival in the town park, as the temperatures cool down, is the perfect setting.   After realizing the high level of interest in local fibers, yarns, quilting and the “Barn Quilt Art” project, surrounding the country side of Palisade, it was time for this festival”.

Adams goes on to say, “Fiber Art demos and classes will be held in the park along with artisan booths to get you started on your holiday shopping.  See a sweater being knitted, over the weekend, on a triangle loom and a painted barn quilt in progress.  Learn about the many types of fibers and their uses.   Alpacas, Llamas and sheep will there for kids to see.  We even added some artisans working with different metals and materials. And of course…. we’ll have food booths AND admission is FREE!
