It has been nine years since the Town of Palisade has surveyed residents about what they’d like to see as an emphasis for recreation.
Now, Palisade’s recreation advisory board is seeking public comments and ideas for future recreation programming.

“We want to know what the local population (81526 zip code, and beyond, not just the residents of the Town) wants the Palisade Recreation Advisory Board to focus their energies (on) and what funds we have available,” Janet Prager, chair of the Palisade Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, said in a recent interview.
Prager listed possible topics of interest: trails, outdoor activities, classes, kids programs, senior activities, outings, parks.
“We can’t know what direction to focus without input from everyone who lives here,” she commented. Prager has indicated that she is looking forward to analyzing the results of the survey.
Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meetings are open to the public. The board meets the fourth Thursday of the month. It meets at 6:30 p.m. at the Palisade Civic Center, 341 West 7th St. Agendas and minutes are posted on the town website prior to the meetings.
