Kay Crane, Director of Blue Pig Gallery announced the Small Business Saturday Events coming to Palisade.   The Annual Art & Chocolate Walk and the Blue Pig Miniature Show are scheduled for the weekend after Thanksgiving to be held on November 28 from 10:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Art & Chocolate Walk

Palisade, CO – Small Business Saturday ushers in a day filled with festivities, sales and the annual This Little Piggy Miniature Art Show opening.

At the Sixth Annual Art & Chocolate Walk in Palisade, free chocolate takes center stage with numerous businesses offering unique holiday gifts and fun for the whole family. Participating shops and studios include The Blue Pig Gallery, Wedel Pottery Studio, Casual Gal Silversmith, Lavender Lady and Friends, Underwood-Turning, Lupita’s Bizarre Bazaar Too, Slice O’ Life Bakery, Sandy King Studio, Palisade Living Center, Palisade Historical Society and Everything Collectible.

The event is free and everyone is encouraged to complete a “punch card,” by visiting all of the Art & Chocolate Walk locations.  When the card is punched by all participating merchants, it is entered into a drawing for a large basket brimming with fine art and chocolate from every vendor. A map of all participants’ locations will also be provided.  A good place to start is The Blue Pig Gallery.

According to Kay Crane, area artist and coordinator of the Art & Chocolate Walk, “Palisade is a wonderful arts destination for the valley, and the Art & Chocolate Walk is a fabulous way to start the holiday season and offers visitors unique art, jewelry, gifts and more at affordable prices.”

“This Little Piggy” Miniature Show at the Blue Pig Gallery

In 2010, American Express founded Small Business Saturday to help businesses with their most pressing need — getting more customers. The day happens every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and encourages people to shop at the small businesses that help write the story of America. Shopping local impacts our community and your neighbors businesses. Think of choosing from our local shops, galleries, studios and winery gift shops  when you make out this year’s Christmas list.
