Town of Palisade to host Candidate Forum February 29th
The Town of Palisade will be hosting a Candidate Forum for residents to hear from the two mayoral candidates and six candidates for the Board of Trustees on Saturday, February 29 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Palisade Veteran’s Memorial Community Center at 120 W. 8th St.
The election is April 7. Ballots will be mailed out prior to the election.
Two candidates are running for mayor: David Edwards and Greg Mikolai, both have served on the Board. Six candidates are vying for seats on the Palisade Town Board replacing three members of the Board are whose terms are up. One member, Thea Chase is running again.
The other five residents seeking seats on the board are: Heather Aspy, Bill Carlson, Christopher Curry, Nicole Maxwell, Betsy McLaughlin, Dave Smith, and Ellen Turner.
Mayor Roger Granat is term limited and cannot run again. The two members who are leaving the Board are Robin Sundermeier and Jessica Bonds.

9-9:30 3 minute introductions from each candidate
9:30-10:30 Questions to each candidate by a moderator
10:45-11:30 Questions from the audience led by the moderator
11:30-12:30 Open House – Get to know the candidates.
